Dynamic Stretch AFO’s

The Dynamic Stretch AFO incorporates the Vertex Dynamic Ratchet Locking Ankle Joint allowing for dynamic management of plantar flexion contractures in weight bearing and non-weight bearing devices.

The one way pressure activating joint mechanism allows for incremental dorsi-flexion position control throughout the therapy rehab process. AFO can be applied no matter the severity or degree of tone or plantar flexion contracture, and ratchet mechanism locks AFO into the desired dorsi-flexion position. The ankle joint accommodates progressive dorsi-fexion position as patient’s range increases.

The joint can be quickly disengaged for ease of donning and doffing, and acts as a free motion system when lock is not engaged. Design and function provides for simple, comfortable, and effective contracture management. AFO allows for free motion ambulation and has foot plate tread for safety.
