The Toe Walker Orthosis (T.W.O.) design provides a real orthotic solution to idiopathic toe walking. This orthosis re-establishes the heel-to-toe gait pattern, creating a residual effect that allows the patient to "graduate" into standard footwear. The T.W.O. combines the design of a traditional SMO with a carbon-reinforced extended posterior element, which provides a kinesthetic reminder to promote heel strike. The design also keeps the heel and midfoot locked in a neutral position, helping to prevent toe walking. The T.W.O. is offered in five different styles to address specific patient needs.
